Re Williams Lake COW meeting.. interesting that they're presenting a police commission report for a non-existing police commission given the fact that although WL city council reluctantly voted to establish one in May 2016, nothing has ever been finalized. So what is this charade about? Who's fooling whom?

Thanks for your comment

According to Quesnel CAO Byron Johnson, in authoring a report to Quesnel's Executive Committe, he noted that after reviewing a conceptual plan for a Policing Committee that was to include representation from the CRD, First Nations and Community Policing, it was decided to form a Standing Committee of Williams Lake Council

So what I've said is accurate. No police commission for Williams Lake so things don't have to change as long as no one else is involved. The only change is instead of doing monthly RCMP reports now they're pretending there's actual oversight by "creating" a new name: police commission, which obfuscates the fact that nothing has changed. Council still has all the control over the local RCMP, no matter what they call it. Deception and confusion. A dangerous thing as proven in the past and citizens don't even understand.
