Finally - Tuesday evening, some local elected officials, including myself, from the NCLGA Region will be making our way to Prince George to attend the 60th North Central Local Government Association (NCLGA) Convention/AGM from May 6-8.  Some will paricipate in events during the day on Wed May 6th including a BioEnergy tour, golf tournament or a afternoon meeting of the Northern Medical Program Trust. The balance of the registered delegates for the Convention will be in Prince George Wednesday evening to attend the Welcome Reception at UNBC.

On Thurs/Fri, May 7th/8th - NCLGA Delegates will partake in activities like Resolution debates, routine AGM Business, hearing from speakers like Coquitlam-Maillardville MLA Selina Robinson (NDP Local Gov't/Sports critic), Minister of Community, Sport, and Cultural Development Coralee Oakes & Aboriginal Affairs Minister John Rustad in addition to former BC Premier Mike Harcourt during the Banquet to be held Thursday evening.  Delegates will also take in Business Sessions to cover topics like Bullying in the Workplace and Economic Development - Return on Investment.  View the full Convention Agenda here

As I did with the LGLA Conference earlier this year in Prince George - I will publish a post-conference report upon my return from the Convention next weekend...
