At today's Williams Lake Chamber of Commerce meeting - it was announced that there will be two forums -- one for City Councillor candidates & one for the Mayoral candidates as follows:
Monday, Oct 27th (City Councillor candidates) - From 6-8pm in the Gibraltar Room
Tuesday, Oct 28th (Mayoral candidates) - From 12-1:30pm at the Pioneer Complex
The Chamber will be putting on the events in partnership with the local Social Planning Council and the BC Northern Real Estate Board. The format for City Councillor candidates will be:
1) Opening Statements
2) Questions submitted for answer by candidates
3) Closing Statements
While the format for Mayoral candidates should be:
a) Lunch
b) Opening Statements
c) Questions - either submitted or oral
d) Closing Statements
I expect this information to be fully confirmed by the end of September or very early in October
If you get a chance - come out to the forums and ask your question(s) of the Mayoral or City Councillor candidates as they will be there for 4 years with no chance of recall in those 4 years...
