New proposed Arena in Quesnel under the microscope

From HQCariboo.com:

What can we build with the money we already have ?

That was a popular question at a public meeting that was held on Wednesday (March 5) night on the proposed North Cariboo Arena Replacement project.

Between 25 and 30 people attended the meeting held at the Bouchie Lake Community Hall.

They were told that roughly 9.9 million dollars has been secured for a project that is estimated to be in the neighborhood of 15 to 16.8 million dollars.

A common theme, including from Ted Traer, was what can we build for that 9.9 million dollars.

He felt there should be options on what could be built for a few different amounts.

Besides the cost another concern that was raised was the location with some preferring it to be built by Alex Fraser Park and the Rec Centre

Another public meeting will be held later this month on the 25th in Quesnel City Council Chambers
