South Lakeside Dr paving begins

Courtesy of the City of Williams Lake:

The City of Williams Lake is pleased to announce that the project to widen and repave South Lakeside Drive is nearing completion, with paving set to begin late this week.

Paving is anticipated to take 4 or 5 days to complete, and during this time, the public is advised to expect longer than usual delays. The City appreciates motorists’ patience.

The project, which began in July, required a number of tasks to be completed, including removing and replacing the material under the road surface, construction of retaining walls, and installation of concrete islands and electrical infrastructure. When the project is complete, there will be two eastbound lanes from Hodgson Road to Pioneer Drive, as well as a pedestrian/bike lane extending to the Cariboo Adventist Academy.
