Clr Roodenburg on Code of Conduct for Quesnel

Yesterday - Quesnel Councillor Sushil Thapar stated his opposition to a proposed Code of Conduct/Ethics policy for the City of Quesnel including the provision of withholding a member of Council's pay in the extreme case of unethical conduct

Now - Councillor L-A Roodenburg, one of two Quesnel Council members' who brought the proposed Code of Conduct policy to Quesnel Council at its' COW meeting this past Monday says it's bigger than one member of Quesnel Council and that Quesnel is just one of many local governments' in BC that are reviewing and updating their Code of Conduct policy

If the code addresses lying, they should all resign.

Councillor Roodenberg, could you please answer this question: have you acted honestly while fulfilling your duties during this term on council? Does the code of conduct require you to?

The same question must be asked of every member of that council for the record. Anyone who answers no ought to resign immediately
Anyone who answers yes must be ready for questions, as there are lots of concerns that have been publicly expressed regarding,honesty....see Morton's website.
