A Msg from Cariboo RD Director Deb Bischoff

At last night's Williams Lake City Council meeting - it agreed to a request by Councillor Ivan Bonnell to refer to a future Committee of the Whole meeting an email from Cariboo RD Area D Director Deb Bischoff to the Central Cariboo RD Directors in regards to withdrawing Area D from the Central Cariboo Joint Committee & the Memo of Understanding for the Joint Committee.  The next Committee of the Whole meeting is tentatively set for October 15th at 6pm in the Rick Hansen Boardroom - WL City Hall (450 Mart St).  Councillor Bonnell is concerned about what the absence of Director Bischoff will have on Joint Committee operations and specifically how recreation or other matters can be discussed at Joint Committee without it being brought to a halt if CRD Area F Director Joan Sorley and CRD Area E Director Byron Kemp split on voting on a matter before the Central Cariboo Joint Committee

This morning, I have received requests from concerned Area D residents' to publish the said email or give a location where the email may be located.  I wish to confirm as the Area D Alternate Director, I am aware of the email however I am unable to publish it here without the direct authorization of Area D Director Deb Bischoff however an resident can request the email directly from Director Bischoff or via the FOI (Freedom of Information) process by visiting the Cariboo RD's office in Williams Lake

I met briefly with Director Bischoff at noon today and she has confirmed that she is unwilling to give me authorization to publish the email here however she asks that any Area D resident that resides in the communities of McLeese Lake, Tyee Lake, Deep Creek, Wildwood, Pine Valley, Fox Mountain, Commodore Heights and all areas in between and may be concerned about her recent actions to pull Area D out of the Joint Committee/Central Cariboo Rural Caucus or possibly withdrawing Area D from either the Central Cariboo Victim Services or Central Cariboo Cemetery Functions or why an Area D resident was unable to attend the Oct 5th Area D Town Hall meeting to contact her directly by:

Email - dbischoff@cariboord.bc.ca

"she is unwilling to give me authorization to publish the email".
Unbelievable! Just who does she think she is...she is an elected official and is sneaking around sending threatening e-mails which she says are on behalf of her Area but she is unwilling to share them publically??!!
This is the height of hypocrisy... shame Director Bischoff, shame!!
