1st Annual Report - Aud-Gen for Local Gov't

Yesterday - the Auditor-General for Local Government in BC (Ms. Basia Ruta) released her first Annual Report which you can read here

Meanwhile, on a related matter, Ms. Ruta and her team is in the process of conducting a Performance Audit on the City of Williams Lake on the topic of "Local Government Performance in Managing Policing Agreements and Police Budget Oversight".  In addition to Williams Lake, the same Performance Audit is being conducted on the Cities of Merritt, New Westminster, Victoria, Port Alberni, and Surrey.  See a story from the Vancouver Sun on this here

The reporting out of the performance audit is expected for web release in the last quarter of 2013/14 (Fall of 2013 - Spring of 2014)
