Williams Lake 2nd Best Bus to Res Tax Ratio in Cariboo

Yesterday, my good friend, Emile Scheffel (Burns Lk's Ec Dev Officer) brought to my attention a report from the CFIB (Can. Federation of Ind. Business) on their annual look at municipal tax rates for small business vs residential.  Read their full report here and the Cariboo-Chilcotin report here

Meanwhile - in the Cariboo, Williams Lake ranked 2nd of the 4 Municipal Governments with 100 Mile being 1st, Quesnel being 3rd and Wells ranked last

While 100 Mile/Williams Lake numbers look decent - they can do better by eliminating waste and unnecessary spending.  Things like Dog Parks and 'Grand Design' recreation buildings like the upcoming request to spend $12 million on our CMRC in Williams Lake when it isn't warranted or asked for by the public comes to mind
