Via Opinion250.com:

The new City Manager for the City of Prince George is Beth James.

She has a background with the provincial government with extensive background in infrastructure planning . She will be $212,000 per year the same as was paid to (former City Manager) Derek Bates

She will be paid a one time relocation cost and the City (of Prince George) has negotiated a severance package.

Another transplanted outsider who likely has no idea of local realities and what that will do to her given the environment and way of doing business in most places she is familiar with.

I'd also take a look into her past in the public service...

Congrats to the City of PG for selecting a new city manager. She brings a wealth of experience. Being an outsider, she will pursue her mission objectively, while ensuring efficiency and effectiveness to the tax payers' dollars. Change is good to rid of "status quo".

Being an outsider, the new city manager will be an asset. She will be objective, passionate about fulfilling the city's objectives of bringing cost efficiencies and eliminate the bottlenecks and waste of tax payers' hard earned money. Congrats to the citizens of Prince George!
