CRD to address WL Rural Fringe Q&A Tuesday

Editor's Note - After talking with CRD Chair Al Richmond last night - I'm pleased with this press release.  This was exactly the response the Cariboo Regional District needed to make, in light of the City of Williams Lake's Question and Answer Sheet on the Rural Fringe Fire Protection dispute

The Cariboo Regional District (CRD) is in receipt of the recently released City of Williams Lake Questions and Answers document regarding Williams Lake fringe fire protection services. The CRD will be addressing these questions in full detail during next week’s public meeting which takes place on Tuesday, Feb. 12 at 5:30 p.m. in the Gibraltar Room of the Cariboo Memorial Complex in Williams Lake.

During the meeting, the CRD will also present and discuss the results of the recent survey it conducted with Williams Lake fringe residents affected by this service. In addition to addressing questions raised in the City of Williams Lake document, CRD elected officials and staff will also advise the public of the proposed next steps based on the Special Board meeting which took place on Monday, Feb. 4.
