BC Conservatives out to destroy the BC Liberals'... ?

On tonight's Global-BC "News Hour" - reporter Jas Johal looks into this question:

Are the BC Conservatives out to destroy the BC Liberals -- similar to what occurred on the federal scene when the-then Reform Party essential wiped out all Western Canada Progressive Conservative MP's in the Federal 1993 Election?

Some political experts say that Christy Clark is being squeezed by the left and right and does not have enough time/talent to turn the "ship" around

Interesting analysis however the interview was off the mark. The growth of ther BC Conservative Party has been a direct result of Liberal exec and handlers straying to the left and leaving no true center right party, hence the abandonment of the party by true small 'c' conservatives.

I also disagree with the comments, made by UBC Political Science Professor Maxwell Cameron, that BCCP policy is jobs and industry come hell or high water.

As a member of the BC Conservatives, I know that our members are for / pro growth of jobs and industry, but only with a balance of protecting the environment.

Those on the left want nothing to do with job / industry growth and want to turn the clock back on development, and the BC Libs have failed to make comment on where or how they stand.

I guess I would conclude by saying that the BC Conservatives ARE NOT destroying the BC Liberal Party ..,. they have done it to themselves by being little more than a slight less left version of the NDP.

That said, the bleed to the BC Conservative Party will continue, as it will in a smaller way to the NDP

In regards to the grant to the greenhouse farmers: Giving 7 million to farmers does not qualify as a conservative measure. The best conservative thing Christy Clark can do is subsidize farming? FAIL.
