Courtesy of the Central Cariboo Arts/Culture Society:

The Central Cariboo Arts and Culture Society proudly presents Performances in the Park, Children and Youth Performances in the park and Canada Day Celebrations for 2012. The CCACS has painted a new face for Performances in the Park 2012.

The Society would like to introduce Beth Holden, Events Coordinator for Performances in the Park and Canada Day Celebrations. The CCACS Directors, CCACS Coordinator Leah Selk, and Oversight Committee for Performances in the park, chaired by Debra McNie with committee members Melissa Newberry and Karen Tschierschwitz, welcome performers, the community, and tourists to the exciting upcoming events in Boitanio Park during the summer of 2012.

Canada Day Celebrations on July 1st will kick off a full day of events beginning at 2:00 pm. Entertainment for the entire family will include cake, story-telling, interactive games, theatre sports, face painting, and balloons.

The Performances in the Park, and Children/Youth Performances in the Park Opening Night will be on July 1, 2012, continuing every Thursday evening from July 5th – August 16th.

The Children and Youth Performances in the Park will take place from 5:00 to 6:00 pm. Performances will be by children and youth of the Central Cariboo and/or performers geared to entertain children and youth. The Central Cariboo communities are abundant with talented young people and the CCACS is looking forward to hearing from you.

Performances in the Park will follow at 7:00 p.m. Historically, performances were by local and or professional provincial singers and musicians. This year the CCACS will open the talent pool to dancing, theatre, magic, story-telling and much more.
