Editor's Note - why BC Conservative Leader John Cummins refuses to run in either Port Moody or Chilliwack is baffling to me... Gordon Campbell ran in a different riding (Vancouver-Quilchena) in 1994 after winning the BC Liberal Leadership and then ran in his own riding of Vancouver - Pt Grey in the 1996 General Election.  It would give Mr. Cummins more profile if in the House (BC Legislature), rather than on the outside...

* More debate over Fish Lake from The Common  Sense Canadian - see here

In Kamloops:

* Interesting idea that Kamloops Council considered - take one Billion of its' $1.2 Billion taxpayer subsidy to CBC and give it to muncipalities for infrastructure improvements - see here but it went down to defeat in a tie vote (4-4).  Kamloops Mayor Peter Milobar and Councillors Pat Wallace, John DeCicco, and Tina Lange were in favour while Councillors Denis Walsh, Marg Spina, Nancy Bepple and Jim Harker were opposed
