Business:

1) Fund Canada Day Celebrations 2011

Discussion ensued

By Consensus:

$250 each from Areas D & F Opportunity and that Board Policy be waived for use of the Opportunity Fund

2) Building Inspection Taxation Issue:

Darren Campbell, from the BC Assessment Authority (BCAA), gave an overview to the Central Cariboo Rural Caucus on the history of this item including the fact that BCAA is soon going to run out of tax codes and that this is a provincial, and not a local, issue.  In the next little bit, supplementary property tax notices will be issued to affected residents' in CRD Electoral Areas 'D', 'G', 'H' and 'L'.  And residents' could either end up owing money to the Cariboo Regional District (keeping in mind, it is a legitimate tax) or receiving either a credit (if a refund of $100 or less is expected) or if refund of $101 or more - property tax owner may get a cheque as some in North Cariboo received in 2009 as a result of the tax code mixup with North Cariboo Parks and Recreation/Central Cariboo Recreation

4) Update on WL Fringe and Area OCP/150 Mile House OCP

The CRD Manager of Planning gave Central Cariboo Rural Caucus an oral update on work on both the WL Fringe OCP and the 150 Mile OCP
