Local Government Meetings in Cariboo-Chilcotin - week of April 11 - 15

There are a number of local government meetings in the Cariboo-Chilcotin, as follows:

Tuesday, April 12th - North Cariboo Joint Planning Committee

Regular Committee meeting which starts at 5:30pm in Quesnel Council Chambers (410 Kinchant St)

Please Note - There is a public update meeting on the Multi-Centre to commence at 7:00pm, also in Quesnel Council Chambers

Tuesday, April 12th - City of Williams Lake

5:00pm - 6:00pm - Budget Meeting
6:00pm - 6:15pm (approximately) - Closed Council Meeting, in accordance with Sections 90(1)(e) and (k) of the Community Charter to deal with land & discussion on new municipal service that should not be held in public
Roughly 6:15pm - Regular Committee of the Whole Meeting in Committee Room #1 at WL City Hall (450 Mart St)

Editor's Note - One item that could cause Council a little angst is a recommendation from the City's CAO to increase transit fares as follows:

Adult - from $1.00 to $1.25
Senior ans Student from $0.75 to $1.00

Monthly Passes:

Adult: from $32.00 to $37.00
Senior/Student: from $24.00 to $28.00

HandyDART: from $1.50 to $1.75

Regular Meeting which starts at 7:00pm in 100 Mile House Council Chambers (385 Birch Avenue)

Wednesday, April 13th - City of Williams Lake

Public Budget Meeting #2 to discuss "approved-in-principle" 2011 City Budget plus proposed Tax Rates to implement 2011 Budget

Meeting to start at 7:00pm in Council Chambers (450 Mart St)
