Earlier today, I outlined what WL Council, meeting in Committee of the Whole, would be considering Tuesday however the items relating to the new 20% surcharge for Water/Sewer for homes with Secondary Suites has now been pulled and will be re-introduced to Council on a future day - see my blog post on these bylaws here and see the revised Committee of the Whole Agenda here
However - one item added is a request to give a "Grant-in-Aide" to the WL & District Daycare Center as they were inadvertently left off the list of properties that are given annual property tax exemptions as passed in a master bylaw in October of each year. Staff are recommending that the Grant in Aide of around $1,430.00 be approved. I suspect WL Council will approve the request. There would be a deserved outcry if Council rejected the request.
