City of WL asks for Public Input on proposed False Alarm Bylaw

The City of Williams Lake would like to invite residents to attend a public consultation session to give input for the implementation of a False Alarm Bylaw.

There will be two presentations occurring on September 23rd and 30th in Williams Lake Council Chambers between 6 pm and 8 pm, in which Staff will give a presentation outlining the creation of and implementation of a False Alarm Bylaw within the City.

From these two meetings, Staff will take written and oral comments and suggestions from the public and develop a Bylaw which best represents those comments and suggestions.

If you are unable to attend and still wish to provide input as to this Bylaw, please contact Brad McRae, Senior Bylaw Officer at 250.392.2311 or bmcrae@williamslake.ca

So isnt this what you complained about, the City not doing Public Consultation?

I guess they are doing good business then?

It's a start but the City still does not have a Public Consultation Policy on Regulatory Bylaws and the public is still mad over Council's decision to allow the New World Cafe to have a road-side porch without talking to the public and hopefully we'll see that policy in due course
