Last Thursday - Williams Lake Council's Finance Committee met to begin discussions on the 2015 Budget/2015-19 5 Yr Financial Plan.  WL City Councillors Scott Nelson, Craig Smith and Jason Ryll all sit on the Committee

Following the meeting - Finance Committee Chair Scott Nelson sat down with Got News Network to review the meeting and what Council is hoping to hear from the community on as it prepares to adopt the 2015 Budget by May 15th of this year.  Video is below



Meanwhile - Council is set to approve new Budget Guidelines at their meeting tonight as follows:

• A goal of establishing new growth and a 0% increase in taxation to cover operating and capital costs;
• A goal to eliminate reliance on reserves for operations;
• Strive to be the most open and transparent budget process in the Province of BC;
