Heloise Dixon-Warren seeks re-election

In election news that pleased me -- Cariboo RD Area 'B' Director Heloise Dixon-Warren has announced on her Facebook page that she will be seeking re-election in November.  Director Dixon-Warren was elected by acclamation in the 2011 Election.  Since my own appointment as the current Area D Alternate Director in Feb 2013 - I have gotten to work with her around the Board table on a number of occasions and it would be a shame to not seeing her return for an additional term...

With her announcement, here are how the Cariboo RD Electoral Area election races stand:

Area A - Ted Armstrong (incumbent) vs Susan MacNeill/Cory Delves (challengers)
Area C - John Massier (incumbent) No official word if he is running or not
Area D - Steve Forseth (challenger - seeking election)
Area E - Byron Kemp (incumbent) No official word if he is running or not
Area F - Joan Sorley (incumbent seeking re-election)
Area G - Al Richmond (incumbent seeking re-election)
Area H - Margo Wagner (incumbent seeking re-election)
Area I - Jim Glassford incumbent) No official word if he is running or not
Area J - Roger William (incumbent) No official word if he is running or not
Area K - Chad Mernett (incumbent) No official word if he is running or not
Area L - No one has declared seeking the Area 'L' Directorship

Message from CRD Area B Director Heloise Dixon-Warren:

I'm putting together my Pre-Election Announcement which will outline some of my platform for the Nov. election. I have heard there might be someone running against me in Area B although they may reside in a different Electoral Area. Nothing is confirmed until the Nomination Period ends. After some thought, I have decided to let my name stand again for another term ( 4 years). I have learnt such alot about process and what our local government does. As it takes the 1st 18 months to 2 years of one's 1st term to learn this and how to be effective, I feel that to not offer another term in my mind is not in the best interest of Electoral Area B
